The images always load in opposite order, but today Blake got to pet the dogs again! He loves it when they bring the puppies around! Right after he pet the dogs we found out the good news! His methotrexate levels are low enough for him to go home!!!!! YAY!!!!!
Today was his last scheduled hospitalization and we cannot express how happy we are about that!!!!!!! It is so amazing to me how far he has come in 5 short months. We will know more about the next phase of treatment after we complete the week of mercaptipurine at home.
Blake got to pick out a game in celebration of his completion of his final hospitalization. He picked the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Yahtzee Jr. As soon as we got home he and Aunt April got it out and played a few games. Blake also had fun climbing all over Uncle Liam! LOL!
Blake and Alexia's cousin Taylor and Aunt Val came over today to bring some food for Alexia. It is always nice to see them! Taylor is such a cutie and is constantly learning new things! She gave Blake a high five before she left!
I forgot to mention, we did our happy no more tubie race around the room and Blake just couldn't stop there! He was racing all over our place once we got home! It's amazing how much energy he has today as compared to the last few days. He also ate a bit today, starting out with some rice and nibbling on a cheese stick here and there throughout the day.
The kids got to enjoy some quality time with Uncle Liam, Aunt April, and Grandma while mom was at Candlelighters then school and daddy was at work.
I really enjoyed the Candlelighters meeting. Although there were some tears, there were so many people who knew just what we are going through. Many SURVIVORS and people who are further ahead than us!!!! It was nice to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Thanks again for your prayers and support! We are at peace right now. Some days are easier than others. It is so nice to be home!
