Found My Camera!

About to leave for Blake's follow up check-up

Little model Lex

Poor Blake has a fever

Blake is all better!

Happy Briana!

Lex zoning out!

Happy Baby!

Well, I lost my camera for a while, but I found it today!  I took a few pictures before I lost it, Blake had to go back to the Dr. just to double check the site of one of his vaccinations (routine) and got the all clear.  He had a bit of a temp from the vaccinations, but was fine after a little while.

Aunt Kari!!!!

Active Lex!

They entertain each other!

We have lots of fun every time we go to the zoo!  In the past month we have gone quite a few times, these two trips were fun trips for us because my friend Kari went with us on one trip and of course my awesome cousin, whom Briana was named after, went with us on the other trip!  We got to see the newly remodelled aquarium, which is amazing!

It is always nice to be able to get together with the people we love and do something fun!

Delightful Briana and other random notes!

Briana has a very cheery disposition!

She loves to play!

Alexia is the queen of dress-up!

Briana LOVES tummy time!

Just chillin at a friend's house!

All the big kids playing!

Love my Snugli baby carrier!
Briana is growing by leaps and bounds.  She loves to practice rolling over any chance she gets and is starting to "practice" crawl.  She does not actually crawl yet, but she does the motions during tummy time.  I hope she is not in a hurry to grow up, we love her and want her to take her time!

Blake and Alexia are just in love with having a baby sister.  They are both extremely helpful and love to entertain her and play games with her!  Briana loves to watch the big kids play and just lights up when she sees either of them!

Blake finished his last ever round of steroids this week!  He should never have to take them again!!!  We are so excited about this, little kids and steroids are not a fun combination for anyone!  Blake also took his very last oral chemo this week!  He is officially completely done with his 3 1/2 year battle with Leukemia!  He will have monthly blood draws for the next year, and he will have to get his pentamidine breathing treatments monthly until they remove his port (set for July this year).  We are so excited to be done with chemo.  There are many little things that chemo factored into for Blake.  He was never able to have a bedtime snack because he could not eat anything for an hour before or after taking his chemo meds, the chemo made lots of foods taste funny to him, so he was a very picky eater and there were other side-effects as well.

Once again we are very thankful for all the thoughts and prayers!

Baby Briana in one of Lex's old bibs!

The day of Blake's last spinal tap we grilled out with a lot of our favorite people!  We missed a few of our faves, but quite a few were there!  We had a good old fashioned family cook-out and celebrated that Blake will no longer need his routine spinal taps!  We are also celebrating the completion of his 3 1/2 years of chemo treatments!!!  PTL!!!!

We are so thankful to have gotten to this point!  It was a long hard road and we would not have made it here without all the prayers and moral support!  We love each and every one of you and completely believe that you had a part in helping our Blake get better!  Every prayer counts!

After our cookout we came back home!  Uncle Liam brought his DS over and Blake and Lex enjoyed playing that for a while!  We always love to spend time with Uncle Liam!!!

Lex got to try on her new swimsuit (she and Briana actually have matching swimsuits and Lex is very excited about that).  She wanted to wear her swimsuit constantly for the next 2 days, but didn't get to.  I have a feeling she will be swimming a lot this summer!  We are excited for the pool to open!!!!  Any time now!

We will have a bigger celebration with more of our favorite people soon!!!  Can't wait to see everyone and to celebrate the end of a long and painful chapter in our lives!

A long awaited day for us!  Blake finally had his last chemo treatment!  He went in very early in the morning and did very well for his treatment!  He still has to visit the hospital for blood counts, but is completely done with chemo FOREVER as long as the cancer stays away!

He has been our inspiration through this whole ordeal and is such a strong boy!  We are very blessed to have him as our firstborn!  What an amazing son we have!

We asked him what he wanted to do to celebrate the end of chemo and he wanted to go to the Children's Museum!  It was a blast!  We had lots of fun doing all of the different activities!!  There was also a fun building center upstairs that we had lots of fun with as well!

Once again we are extremely thankful for all of the thoughts and prayers throughout this time and are so happy that Blake is finally done with all the stresses that come with being a child with cancer/a child on chemo.
