Blake (and the rest of us) had a very long day today. We were at the hospital at 7am to have his port removed, which was scheduled at 9am. The procedure wound up being pushed to 2pm, so there was a very long wait at the hospital. Blake was great about it. They had a computer there in the rec room that had some fun computer games on it. Blake passed the time with that and watching a movie with Daddy.
Mommy had to take the girls home for about 2 hours to take a nap, but was back in time for the procedure. Blake did great, there were no issues, it all went very well and we were all excited to see the port.
We are very excited for this chapter of Blake's life (and all of our lives) to be over! We bonded a lot as a family through the cancer and the treatment, we are glad Blake came through on the other end with minimal side effects. We are very thankful for the moral support we received from most of our friends and family!
We are blessed with 3 healthy children and 1 health Mommy and 1 healthy Daddy!
Feeling very thankful right now!
