So over Thursday night Blake's fever went up a bit. He was scheduled to go back to the clinic to get more antibiotics in the morning anyway, so we went in a bit early and found out that his ANC had fallen to only 300. With his fever increasing and his ANC decreasing they decided he should be hospitalized.
They ran lots of tests and took x-rays and so far all we know is what is not wrong. Blake does not have pneumonia, bronchitis, RSV, Mono or strep throat. He has been very groggy, which is to be expected. So far there is no growth on the blood taken from his port, so it doesn't seem to be an infection. We are relieved that it is not any of the things they have tested for, but it would be nice to know what is going on, so we can come up with a plan of action.
The nurses and doctors are great though. They are taking good care of him and he is on antibiotics just in case.
Blake's friends came over to visit him in the hospital. They all watched Bolt together and seemed to enjoy themselves. They really liked the view from the giant window in Blake's hospital room. It is almost the same view as the one in the room we stayed in right after he was diagnosed.
